On 11 March, 2019, H.E. Wang Baodong, Chinese Ambassador in the Kingdom of Tonga, and Hon. Akilisi Pohiva,  Prime Minister of Tonga and Acting Minister for Public Enterprises signed the Handover Certificate of Donated Agricultural Equipment from Dongguan Municipality, Guandong Province of China to the Kingdom of Tonga. These four tractors are aimed to help develop the agriculture sector and improve the livelihood of the Tongan people. Hon. Akilisi Pohiva and the Tongan Government expressed their high appreciation to the Chinese side for this donation.
